Five councils in south eastern Wales have created a collaboration to take care of black bag waste in a bid to reduce rubbish going to landfill.
The authorities aim to blaze waste which can not be recycled and convert it into power in a new task which is receiving a ₤ 4m annual give from the Welsh federal government.
